UT Austin Featured My Research, Teaching, and Science Communication

The feature describes my Ph.D. research in land-surface modeling, where I combine Earth system science, AI tools, and high-performance computing to improve climate prediction and study ecosystem challenges such as drought. The post covers my work beyond research: teaching more than 1,000 students in Earth in 2100, editing for the Jackson School’s Science Y’all! platform, and building UT01, a free hub for UT Austin resources that has received more than 34,000 visits.

I appreciate how the feature connects these parts of my time at UT. Research gives me technical problems to work on. Teaching and science communication keep that work tied to students and the communities it could serve.
